This mask set includes two complete sets of roundel and fin flash masks for markings in the following sizes:-

B type overwing roundels: 56" diameter

C type underwing roundels: 32" diameter

C1 type fuselage roundel: 36" diameter

Fin flashes: 24" x 24"

Johnnie Johnson's Spitfire Mk IX

JE-J (EN398) and JE-JJR (MK329)

This set contains masks for the markings of Johnnie Johnson's Spitfire Mk IX's EN398 (JE-J) and MK329(JE-JJR )

 

Please note that the 1/72nd scale version of these masks does not include the fuselage serial numbers as they are too small to cut reliably in this scale. We are working on a solution for this which will be incorporated in a future release.

D-Day Spitfire Mk IXc

412 Sqn Spitfire IXc - VZ-S (MJ255)

This Spitfire crash landed as a result of engine failure, in Normandy, near Tilly-sur-Seulles on 11th June 1944 while being flown by Pilot Officer H. G. Garwood of 412 Sqn.

 

Please note that the 1/72nd scale version of these masks does not include the fuselage serial numbers as they are too small to cut reliably in this scale.  We are working on a solution for this which will be incorporated in a future release.

Spitfire Mk1 (Early) - 19(F) Sqn (K9795)

19(F) Sqn Spitfire Mk1 (K9795) - RAF Duxford, August 1938

This set contains masks for the markings of a 19(F) Sqn Spitfire Mk1 (K9795) based at RAF Duxford in August 1938.

Spitfire Mk VIII - SEAC Markings

155 Sqn DG-R MD280 - Flown by Ft. Lt. Paul Ostrander

This set contains masks for the markings of a 155 Sqn Spitfire Mk.VIII DG-R (MD280). It includes masks for roundels, fin flashes, codes and serial numbers. Masks for 2 versions of the Chindit motif on the nose are included as it is unclear from photographs of this aircraft whether the motif had a chin "beard" or not. Both types are included so the modeller can choose.

Spitfire VIII - 43 Sqn FT-F (MT714) - Flown by Flt. Lt. A.W Guest

This set contains masks for the markings of a 43 Sqn Spitfire Mk.VIII FT-F (MT714) based in Ramatuelle, France in August 1944.

It includes masks for roundels, fin flashes, codes and serial numbers.

Spitfire Mk 1 - 610 Sqn DW-E (R6629) - Flown by Sgt E. Manton - 29th August 1940

This set contains masks for the markings of a 610 Sqn Spitfire Mk.I DW-E (R6629) in August 1940.

It includes masks for roundels, fin flashes, codes and serial numbers.
