From Scale Modelling Now (http://www.scalemodellingnow.com) a review of some custom masks by Tom Potter

A good deal of head scratching and more trolling the net followed. Eventually, I came across http://www.adastramasks.com/ and decided to give them a try. They produce masks to order as well as specialising in RAF and FAA masks. After contacting them and giving details of what I wanted I was sent an email which gave an example of the mask and it looked the bee’s knees, so I duly ordered a set. When it arrived I was blown away, the quality could not be faulted. I was given more than one mask and instructions on how to use them.
I must confess that I only used the instructions as a starting point and worked with them in my own way, which was fairly basic but it worked. Once in place on the separate gun bay panel I proceeded to apply paint.
The way I approached it was as follows: – first of all I laid down a coat of varnish; this was to prevent the paint bleeding underneath the mask if I had not got a good seal on them. Next a coat of white as an undercoat, it’s always best to do this when using yellow or red as a final coat. Then, finally a thin coat of US Insignia Yellow. When the mask was delicately peeled away I was left with a result I consider far better than a decal because, it’s painted on. I really cannot praise these masks highly enough.
